Re-creation of "Girl with a Pearl Earring"-- April 30, 2020-- Re-create a Famous Painting assignment
Reflection: I decided to redo this assignment, not only because it was fun, but also I thought I could do more to make my photos and their paintings more similar. I cam across the painting "Girl with a Pearl Earring" by Johannes Vermeer. Many people have reenacted this painting before and went very into it also, but that was actually quite helpful. There were many references and ideas that they had and I had to make this painting come to life. I have my sister as the model in this photo. One reason I used her for is that she has very light eyebrows and so does the woman in the painting. I didn't have the correct color clothing and clothing texture, but I made do.
